Bibiani GoldStars head coach Petros Koukouras has expressed his displeasure over the state of the Debibi Presby Park, describing the playing surface as more suitable for cassava farming than football.

His remarks came after Gold Stars suffered a 1-0 defeat to Debibi United over the weekend in their 2026/27 Ghana Premier League Matchday 7 fixture.

Maxwell Agyemang scored right before the break to seal victory for the hosts, ending their three-match winless run and bringing them level with Gold Stars on seven points.

The crucial victory also pushed Debibi United out of the relegation zone, as they keep working to establish themselves in the league.

Speaking post-match, Koukouras vented his frustration with the quality of the pitch, arguing that its poor condition made it nearly impossible to focus on the game.

“We cannot discuss football. I don’t think this is a pitch designated for football. Maybe it is designated for cassava plantation. I don’t have anything else to say,” he stated.

Following the defeat, Gold Stars now turn their attention to Heart of Lions on October 25, knowing they have plenty of work ahead to get their campaign back on track.

Debibi United, meanwhile, will look to build on their momentum when they travel to face Bechem United in their Matchday 8 fixture.

Richarlison says Bolsonaro tried to buy it from him, and when he refused a lawyer named Willer Tomaz simply turned up and annexed it.
