More than 4,500 students participated in various technical events and activities organised as part of SUMSHODHINI’26, a two-day national-level student technical symposium held at Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science, Warangal (KITSW).

Addressing the gathering during the valedictory ceremony on Saturday, KITSW principal K. Ashoka Reddy said the symposium, organised under the theme ‘Beyond Conventional Thinking,’ provided a platform for students to demonstrate their technical knowledge, creativity and innovative skills.

Dean of Student Affairs and symposium convener K. Sridhar said the two-day event featured 12 technical workshops, a treasure hunt and more than 50 competitions and activities. He urged students to focus on innovation, incubation, research and entrepreneurship to improve their technical capabilities, industry readiness and employment prospects.

Earlier, inaugurating the symposium on October 29, TGNPDCL CMD Karnati Varun Reddy encouraged students to pursue innovative ideas and start-ups while emphasising the importance of critical thinking, professional values and responsible use of artificial intelligence.
