Cabinet approves site for Uppara community hall in Kalaburagi

Priyank Kharge

The Karnataka Cabinet has approved the allotment of a civic amenity (CA) site at Kusanur village in Kalaburagi for the construction of a community hall for the Uppara community, fulfilling a long-pending demand of the community.

In a media note released on Friday, Minister Priyank Kharge announced that the Cabinet, chaired by the Chief Minister, had decided to allot the site to the district Uppara Sangha.

The site, measuring 439.67 sq. m. and bearing the number PL-01, is located in Survey No. 19/2B at Kusanur village. It is a civic amenity site in a private layout approved by the Kalaburagi Urban Development Authority.

Mr. Kharge said the allotment would benefit members of the Uppara community, which he described as socially, educationally and economically disadvantaged. The proposed community hall would provide a venue for community activities and cultural programmes, contributing to the welfare and development of the community.
