The mini-clinic of the 2026 edition of the Luv FM-Republic Bank Habitat has recorded a successful outing in Kumasi, bringing together key players in Ghana’s housing and construction industry to promote affordable and accessible homeownership. The event, held on October 29, 2026, at the Opoku Trading Arena in Adum, offered prospective homeowners, property developers and industry professionals an opportunity to engage institutions providing housing services, construction materials, financing and interior decoration solutions.

Now in its eighth year, the Habitat Fair seeks to address some of the challenges associated with land acquisition, building and homeownership, particularly in the Ashanti Region. Organised in partnership with Republic Bank, the mini-clinic brought together stakeholders across the housing and construction value chain. Visitors had the opportunity to access professional guidance, explore products and services, and consider solutions suited to their housing needs and budgets.

Institutions offer guidance on homeownership The Lands Commission and the Asantehene’s Lands Secretariat were among the participating institutions, providing visitors with information and guidance on land-related matters and other aspects of homeownership. The event also showcased construction materials, home improvement products and interior decoration solutions.

JetSky Roofing Systems engaged patrons on its fire-resistant roofing systems and window products, while Prestodea Ghana showcased glass windows, balustrades and doors. A representative of the Asantehene’s Lands Secretariat highlighted the importance of the initiative in helping members of the public navigate their homeownership aspirations. Republic Bank highlights mortgage support Head of Mortgage Banking at Republic Bank, Dan Adjetey Mohenu, reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to supporting individuals at different stages of their homeownership journey.

He explained that the bank’s mortgage and housing finance solutions were not limited to purchasing completed properties but also catered for individuals who prefer to construct their homes in phases. The financing options, he said, could support different stages of construction, from foundation works to interior decoration, subject to the bank’s assessment criteria and requirements.

Main Habitat Fair scheduled for November The partnership between Luv FM and Republic Bank is expected to continue offering prospective homeowners access to financial guidance and other essential services as they work towards owning homes. The mini-clinic serves as a lead-up to the main 2026 Habitat Fair, scheduled to take place from November 25 to 29 in Kumasi.

The initiative comes amid growing demand for housing driven by population growth and urbanisation, with organisers positioning the fair as a platform for connecting prospective homeowners with institutions and services across the housing sector.
