HDK accuses police chief of leaking sensitive information

H.D. Kumaraswamy

Taking exception to the Bengaluru Police Commissioner’s statement on the alleged sting operation, Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Steel H.D. Kumaraswamy said that the Police Commissioner had leaked sensitive information about the investigation into the ‘sting operation’, and said that the Congress government was trying to take revenge on him.

Speaking to reporters here on Sunday, the Union Minister said: “The Police Commissioner is behaving like a head clerk by giving the statement. Is he a Police Commissioner? At whose behest is he working? I know what he is doing to protect his post. I will give more details on Monday, and I will tell what is happening within the Police Department. I know the direction in which the investigation into the ‘sting operation’ is headed. I know whom the government is trying to protect.”
