Anyone who rigs 2027 poll will die, Omo-Agege warns

Former Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege, has warned that anyone who attempts to rig the 2027 general elections will face dire consequences and die.

Former Deputy President of the Senate and Nigeria Democratic Congress senatorial candidate for Delta Central Senatorial District, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, has warned prospective election riggers to avoid such nefarious actions as the 2027 general elections approach.

Omo-Agege, while flagging off his campaign in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State on Friday, declared pointedly that whoever rigs the election will die. ‎ ‎”It’s rig and die. Anybody who tries to rig the 2027 election will face the consequences. We will not allow anyone to steal our votes,” he said.

According to the former Deputy President of the Senate, the era of ballot manipulation and electoral fraud is over as the people are now more conscious and ready to defend their votes.

‎Speaking further, Omo-Agege maintained that Nigerians would not allow their votes to be stolen, insisting that “anyone caught attempting to manipulate the election would face dire consequences.” ‎ ‎The NDC Senatorial candidate for Delta Central alleged intimidation and attacks against his campaign, family and supporters, just as he appealed to security agencies and the international community to monitor political activities in Delta State.

‎Omo-Agege, however, boasted that the NDC would defeat the All Progressives Congress in Delta State in the forthcoming general elections while calling on supporters to mobilise for his senatorial bid and other NDC candidates.
