GFA charge Kotoko’s assistant coach for assaulting Medeama’s Ebenezer Adade. The assistant coach of Asante Kotoko, Diogo Peral, has been charged by the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for assaulting a Medeama SC player.

The assistant coach of Asante Kotoko, Diogo Peral, has been charged by the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for assaulting a Medeama SC player.

Peral was sent off for slapping Medeama's Ebenezer Adade during Kotoko's Ghana Premier League fixture over the weekend at the Baba Yara Stadium.

The slap came as a reaction after the Medeama player seemed to have pushed the coach in his attempt to recover the ball for a quick restart of proceedings.

Kotoko announced a disciplinary action has been taken against the coach with a fine in line.

In addition to that, the GFA has also now communicated the decision to charge the technical team member for breaching Article 12(1)(h) of the GFA Disciplinary Code.

Peral has until Wednesday, November 4, to respond to the charge.

With their draw against Medeama, Kotoko are now winless in their last two games and sit ninth on the league table with 13 points.

They face Berekum Chelsea in their next league game.
