Bharath Gupta lauds the patience, tolerance, compassion, and spirit of service demonstrated by nurses

Minister of Industries and Commerce T.G. Bharath Gupta felicitated during the 79th TNAI Andhra Pradesh State Biennial Conference held in Kurnool on Monday.

Minister of Industries and Commerce T.G. Bharath Gupta on Monday (November 2, 2026) said that the services of nurses in the healthcare sector are invaluable.

Speaking at the 79th Trained Nurses Association of India (TNAI) Andhra Pradesh State Biennial Conference held in Kurnool, the Minister discussed the evolving landscape of the nursing profession and the significance of the services provided by nurses. He recalled that during the COVID-19 pandemic, when the general public was confined to their homes due to safety measures, doctors and nurses risked their own lives to care for the patients.

Mr. Bharath lauded the patience, tolerance, compassion, and spirit of service demonstrated by nurses. He stated that the high-quality care and the special attention nurses provide to patients often earn great recognition for the hospitals where they work.

The Minister advised nurses to stay updated with modern technology and to continuously enhance their professional skills in tune with changing times. He encouraged them to effectively integrate technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital health tools into their medical services.

Mr. Bharath stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the government is implementing various reforms to develop the healthcare sector and improve nursing services in the State. He stated that such conferences are highly beneficial for skill development of nurses.

He also expressed happiness that medical- and nursing-related events, which meet national-level standards, are being held in Kurnool. “It is a matter of pride for the city to host such programmes,” he said.

The event was attended by D. Usha Pannagaveni, President of the Association’s State chapter; Professor K. Susheela, Registrar of the Andhra Pradesh Nurses and Midwives Council among others.
