By Dennis Agbo The Enugu State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has unveiled a comprehensive campaign strategy aimed at securing victory for President Bola Tinubu, Governor Peter Mbah and other party candidates in the 2027 general elections. The strategy was unveiled on Tuesday at a meeting of the Enugu State APC Campaign Council, attended by its Director-General, Chief Dr Charles Mbah; Secretary-General, Dr Eric Oluedo; directors and other party stakeholders.

Speaking after the meeting, the council’s spokesperson, Barr Steve Oruruo, said the framework was designed to coordinate the activities of the council’s 51 directorates, clearly define their responsibilities and eliminate duplication of duties. He said the Director-General had charged members to demonstrate commitment, discipline and accountability in the discharge of their responsibilities.

According to Oruruo, the council plans to mobilise voters across the state through effective communication, grassroots engagement and the presentation of the achievements of the Tinubu and Mbah administrations. He said the APC was targeting victory in all elective positions, including the presidential, governorship, Senate, House of Representatives and State House of Assembly elections.

Oruruo added that the campaign would be anchored on facts, documented achievements and measurable results rather than emotional appeals. He also highlighted what he described as the achievements of Governor Mbah’s administration in economic development and other sectors, saying they had strengthened public confidence and attracted investors, including Nigerians in the diaspora.

The 51 directorates cover key areas such as administration, finance, media, mobilisation, research, election planning, security, legal services, logistics, welfare, voters’ education, women affairs, persons with disabilities and non-indigene coordination. Others include fundraising, public and strategic communication, market associations, trade unions and private-sector engagement.

Among those who attended the meeting were the Secretary to the State Government, Prof Chidiebere Onyia; APC State Chairman, Dr Martins Chukwunweike; Commissioner for Transport, Ricky Agu; Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Barr Ugochi Madueke; and Commissioner for Women Affairs, Ngozi Eni. Also present were former PDP State Chairman, Vita Abba; Commissioner for Chieftaincy Affairs, Barr Charles Egumgbe; and APC State Secretary, Chukwudi Nnadozie.

Also speaking, the council’s Director of Non-Indigenes, Chief Cosmas Agagbo, pledged the support of non-indigenes resident in the state, promising massive mobilisation for the APC and Governor Mbah ahead of the 2027 elections.
