Officials informed him that heavy rain was continuing in the tribal areas of Eluru district, particularly Buttayagudem, Velerupadu, Polavaram, Jeelugumilli and Koyyalagudem. Minor irrigation tanks in some areas were overflowing, the Eluru District Collector reported.
