Kovalam spa sexual assault: Police take accused for evidence collection

Kovalam spa sexual assault: Police take accused for evidence collection.

The Kovalam police on Wednesday took suspended Thiruvananthapuram Corporation health inspector M.O. Anuroop, an accused in the sexual assault of a 16-year-old minor girl at a spa in Kovalam, to the scene of the alleged crime as part of evidence collection.

He was identified by the investigation team as a key operator of the spa. He is among the eight persons arrested so far in connection with the case.

During the initial phases of the investigation, police officers conducted multiple searches at the spa premises. However, crucial documents, including visitor logs and records detailing persons who frequented the spa, reportedly remained unaccounted for. The investigators determined that Anuroop and his associates had allegedly stored such vital records within the facility.
