Ghanaian champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies continued their strong start to the 2026 CAF Women's Champions League following their victory over Kawempe Muslim Ladies.

Beline Nyarko scored a late winner for Charles Anokye Frimpon's side in the 2-1 victory over the Ugandan side to continue their winning streak.

The two teams came into the encounter on the back of respective wins over USFAS Bamako and AS FAR in their opening game of the competition.

Ampem Darkoa enjoyed a good start to the game and created chances to go ahead.

They eventually took the lead in the 19th minute when the opponent's goalkeeper made a mess out of clearance before Nancy Amoh pounced on the error to open the scoring.

The Black Queens midfielder should have doubled the lead moments later, but her decision-making in the final third let her down.

Kawempe drew level in the game in the 33rd minute with a miscommunication between Rose Teye Baah and her defender giving the Ugandans the opportunity to equalise.

Kawempe dominated possession in the second half of the game but failed to make the most of their dominance.

Amepm Darkoa then retook the lead in the 83rd minute when Beline capitalised on another error at the back to give her side the lead.

The victory puts the Ghanaians in a good position to advance into the next stage of the comeptition after two wins from their opening two games.
