Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India (CREDAI) State Vice-President K.C.S. Bose on Saturday (October 24, 2026) said that the construction industry would make steady headway in Vizianagaram and surrounding areas due to rapid developmental activities being taken up by the State government.
He was speaking at the launch of CREDAI’s three-day property show, “Home Expo,” which commenced on Saturday at Ring Road in Vizianagaram. MLA Aditi Vijayalakshmi formally inaugurated the expo and stated that the construction industry is set to witness rapid growth in the region.
Speaking to the media, Mr. Bose said that the construction of the international airport, the proposed Reliance Data Centre at Bhogapuram, and the Google Data Centre at Anandapuram on the Vizianagaram–Visakhapatnam route would ensure the rapid development of the Fort City. “Property prices are relatively very low in Vizianagaram compared to other cities like Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada, although the construction cost is the same in all places. A square foot costs between ₹4,000 and ₹4,500 in Vizianagaram, but it is around ₹7,000 in the other places,” Mr. Bose added.
State Bank of India Regional Manager Bhibhuti Bhusan Sahoo and Assistant General Manager B. M. Bhima Rao stated that the bank had been offering loans to applicants in a hassle-free manner after quick processing of their applications.
CREDAI Vizianagaram chapter president K. Rajasekhar and chairman Ch. Surynarayana hoped that the turnout of visitors would be good this time, as it was organised ahead of Sirimanotsavam to be held on October 27 in Vizianagaram.
The Association’s Secretary B. Surendra, former president V. Pardhasaradhi and others were present.
