Cyberabad Police explore one-way traffic system across Biodiversity, HITEC City corridors
Cyberabad Police have initiated steps to explore a one-way traffic system along the Biodiversity Junction, Mindspace and HITEC City corridor to ease congestion during peak hours.
Cyberabad Commissioner of Police M. Ramesh, accompanied by Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Sunpreet Singh, RTC officials and other traffic police personnel, inspected the proposed route on Friday. The inspection covered Biodiversity Junction, IKEA, T-Works, Qualcomm, Dallas Centre Road and surrounding areas.
The proposed one-way corridor would cover Biodiversity Junction, Mindspace Rotary, Times Square Road, Knowledge City Road, Qualcomm and Dallas Centre Road. Officials examined traffic flow patterns, road conditions and major conflict points along the stretch to assess the feasibility of the proposal and identify measures to reduce congestion.
During the inspection, Mr Ramesh instructed officials to prepare a detailed report covering a comprehensive traffic flow study, identified bottlenecks and conflict points, supported by relevant visuals.
He also directed them to conduct a block-wise assessment of buildings contributing to traffic congestion, including the anticipated traffic impact, vehicle volume generated by each building, availability of parking facilities and parking capacity.
The exercise aims to identify suitable traffic management measures and streamline vehicular movement around T-Hub, IKEA, Knowledge City, Qualcomm and Biodiversity.
