Weighing 117.5 sovereigns of gold, the trophy was received at the school entrance by elected representatives, education officials, teachers and student groups amid the accompaniment of a band troupe. The reception was organised under the leadership of the Thrissur Education District.

MLAs, K. Rajan and Rajan J. Pallan, Thrissur Mayor Dr. Niji Justin, District Panchayat president Mary Thomas, Deputy Director of Education T. Shyla and District Educational Officer Ajith John were among those who welcomed the trophy.

The public representatives expressed hope that Thrissur would bring the prestigious cup back to the district through outstanding performances by its young athletes at the State School Sports Meet.

The reception was followed by a procession that began at Government Model Girls Higher Secondary School, with students, public representatives, officials and representatives of various organisations joining the celebrations.

The procession showcased the enthusiasm and team spirit of the school community, with around 300 students participating in the event. The band troupe of Holy Family School led the musical accompaniment, while student contingents from several educational institutions added colour and energy to the march.
