The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has discussed preparations for the upcoming Graduates’ MLC elections and Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections at a meeting of its State leaders and office-bearers here on Saturday.

The meeting, chaired by State BJP president N. Ramachander Rao at the party’s State office, reviewed the prevailing political situation in Telangana and discussed the party’s organisational activities in nine districts falling within the GHMC limits.

Party leaders outlined strategies to secure victory in the Graduates’ MLC elections and called upon cadres to mobilise workers at the booth level and intensify public outreach.

The meeting also discussed the BJP’s ‘Loktantra Bachao – Bheedtantra Hatao’ (Save Democracy – Remove Mobocracy) campaign against what the party described as actions undermining democratic values. It was decided to intensify grassroots-level protests against the Congress government’s policies in Telangana.

BJP State in-charge Sunil Bansal, co-in-charge Abhay Patil, State organisational general secretary N. Madhukar, State joint organisational general secretary Dashrath, MPs, MLAs, MLCs and presidents of the nine district units attended the meeting. Rekha Sharma was also present.
