National Democratic Congress (NDC) National Executive Committee member Wonder Victor Kutor has entered the contest for Deputy National Communications Officer ahead of the party’s December 19, 2026, National Delegates Congress.

Mr Kutor is seeking to strengthen the party’s communication machinery through structured training for grassroots communicators, support for serial callers and the creation of an official party website to improve access to information on NDC policies and activities.

He said equipping party communicators with a better understanding of government policies and programmes would enable them to engage communities more effectively, particularly during grassroots mobilisation and public education exercises.

“We must train people as well. The next policy has to do with orientation and capacity-building workshops,” he said, adding that the initiative would prepare communicators for door-to-door engagements with residents.

He cited training programmes he had organised for branch executives in the Ejisu-Kwabre area of the Ashanti Region and branch communication officers in Agotime Ziope in the Volta Region as examples of his efforts to develop communication capacity at the grassroots.

Mr Kutor also outlined plans to provide targeted assistance to serial callers who regularly represent the party's views on radio and other media platforms. He said an official NDC website would serve as a central source of information on the party's programmes, policies and activities.

The NDC is scheduled to hold its 9th National Delegates Congress on December 19, 2026, in the Greater Accra Region, with more than 9,000 delegates expected to participate.
