Tap into the season of grace, by Funmi Komolafe

Not surprising that some have identified God as the “ God of Grace and Favour”. Brethren, to enjoy the Grace and Favour of God, you have to be born-again.
To the glory of God we have seen the last Sunday of October joyfully. Gradually, the year 2026 is winding down but the grace and the favour of God endures forever. Some preachers have defined Grace as “ unmerited favour” bestowed upon a person by the Almighty God. Not surprising that some have identified God as the “ God of Grace and Favour”. Beloved, may the Lord’s Grace show up in whatever situation you and I find ourselves in Jesus name. 2nd Corinthians 12 vs. 9 ( Amplified Version), “but He has said to me, “ My grace is sufficient for you ( My loving-kindness and My mercy are more than enough – always available- regardless of the situation); for ( My) power is being perfected (and is completed and shows itself most effectively) in (your) weakness.
Therefore, I will all the more gladly boast in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ ( may completely enfold me and) may dwell in me”. Brethren, this Bible passage is quite loaded with a deep meaning. If the power of God shows up in anyone’s weakness, that weakness must vanish and the person would be made perfect. The power of God that has no limit must dwell in you to become an overcome.
Challenges would disappear because light and darkness cannot co habit. One must give way and what would give way is darkness. Many of the challenges that confront us represent darkness in our lives. Beloved, are you in a situation that a particular challenge in your life seems to have defied solutions; are you about to give up? Please don’t give up even when circumstances around you show no sign of improvement.
You may be saying to yourself that the year is winding down and the situation seems hopeless. This is the time to encourage yourself in the Lord. The Holy Bible tells us of someone that encouraged himself in the LORD when he was confronted with a hopeless situation. Ist Samuel 30 vs. 3-6 ( KJV): “ So David and his men came to the city, and, behold, it was burned with fire; and their wives, and their sons, and their daughters , were taken captives.
Then David and the people that were with him lifted up their voice and wept, until they had no more power to weep. And David’s two wives were taken captives, Ahinoam the Jezreelites, and Abigail the wife of Nabal the Carmelite. And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.” According to the Bible account , in verse 8 : “ And David enquired at the LORD saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them?
And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all”. David refused to allow the challenge damped his spirit, he encouraged himself in the Lord. Beloved you too can do the same. It is true that the year is winding down and the Grace and Favour of God cannot wind down. Verses 18 &19 of the same chapter conclude the story.
It states: “ And David recovered all that the Amalekites had carried away: and David rescued his two wives. And there was nothing lacking to them, neither small nor great, neither sons nor daughters, neither spoil, nor any thing that hey had taken to them; David recovered all”. Brethren, a challenge is like an invasion in your life just like the Amalekites invaded the home of David and his men.
The invasion or challenge is something that makes you feel imperfect, it causes some discomfort. It sometimes brings shame into one’s life and no one likes that. So, what is to be done? Persist in prayer. At a time like this you need violent prayers. It simply means you need to be more aggressive in prayer standing on the word of God and claiming your right in the LORD.
But can you claim rights when you are not in a relationship with the LORD. Definitely not. Brethren, to enjoy the Grace and Favour of God, you have to be born-again. Believe in Him, Trust Him, and serve Him and no other god. Above all, keep his commandments. We are assured that when we do this, something happens. 2nd Corinthians 9 vs. 8 states “ And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work”.
To have sufficiency in all things is to have your needs met and the LORD surpasses your expectation. I share the testimony of a couple based in Owerri, Imo state. When he made a choice of a life partner, he was told that the woman may never have children but the man insisted he would marry her. They got married and there was no pregnancy for years.
It would seem that the word of the enemy had come to pass in their marriage. I pray for you in the name of Jesus every word spoken by the enemy against your life is nullified with the Blood of Jesus. So, the man took his wife and they went to the Redemption camp ( now redemption city) of the Redeemed Christian Church of God and decided to stay there for three days praying every hour and worshipping the LORD.
