Woman APEPDCL engineer found dead on road near Rajam; family says it was no accident

An Assistant Engineer of the Andhra Pradesh Eastern Power Distribution Company Limited (APEPDCL) was found dead on a road at Kondapeta near Rajam on Sunday (October 25, 2026). Her family has alleged that it was not a road accident.
The police identified the deceased as Gunda Lalita Kumari, about 30, a native of Cheepurupalli. She was riding her two-wheeler towards Rajam on Sunday morning. According to the police, she fell near Kondapeta, and her body was found on a stretch of road with little traffic.
Her family members said it was not a road accident and asked the police to investigate the incident.
The police have registered a case and begun an investigation.
