Woman found dead in Madhapur flat after video call to colleague

A 29-year-old woman, working as a senior associate in Mindspace, Madhapur, was found dead at her flat in Chandra Nayak Thanda in the early hours of Sunday.

The deceased, Archana Choudhari Malik, a native of Uttar Pradesh, was in a relationship with her colleague, Bhandari Vimal, a native of Uttarakhand, for the past four years. Police said Vimal’s marriage was undergoing divorce proceedings in connection with the relationship.

According to the police, around 2.30 a.m., while Vimal was attending a function with his mother at Cheryala, Archana made a video call to him and threatened to end her life if he did not marry her. During the call, she showed him a cloth tied to the ceiling fan.

When she stopped responding to his repeated calls, Vimal rushed to her flat at around 5.30 a.m. and found the door locked from inside. Following information received through Dial 112, patrol team reached the spot and forced open the door, where they found Archana hanging.

The Clues Team was called to examine the scene, and the body was shifted to Osmania General Hospital for further formalities. A case was booked and investigation is underway.
