Case registered after Class X student allegedly morphs classmates’ photos in Keralam

A case was registered after a Class 10 student of a school here allegedly morphed photographs of classmates and senior students and sent them to another student, the police said on Sunday.

The student allegedly morphed photographs of classmates and students from other classes before sending the images privately to a fellow student.

The images were not circulated on social media, they said.

The incident came to light after a third student saw a chat containing the morphed photographs on a mobile phone and reported it to the school authorities.

A preliminary inquiry was initiated after the school authorities reported the incident to the cyber police, officials said.

A case was subsequently registered based on the complaint received from the parents.

Further action against the two students involved will be decided after examining the legal aspects of the matter, as both are minors.

The school authorities have also decided to initiate disciplinary action against the students, they added.
