The All Progressives Congress (APC) 2027 governorship candidate and Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Kadri Hamzat, will officially unveil his manifesto on Friday, October 30, 2026.
The Director-General of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kadri Obafemi Hamzat (PBAT-KOH) Campaign Council, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, announced this at a press conference at the PBAT-KOH Campaign Office in Ikeja.
Obanikoro stated that the high-profile event will take place at the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and Creative Arts (formerly known as the National Arts Theatre) in Iganmu, Lagos.
According to the campaign council, the launch will run from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., with guest arrivals starting at 11 a.m.
Due to venue seating capacity, the physical event is strictly by invitation, but will be broadcast live across major television and digital platforms, including Channels TV.
Senator Obanikoro said the campaign is built on two core principles: continued shared progress and inclusivity.
He stressed that building a stronger Lagos requires preserving the master plan initiated in 1999 under Bola Tinubu and successfully expanded by successive administrations of Babatunde Fashola, Akinwunmi Ambode, and the incumbent Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
”Continuity is not about doing things the same way simply because they have been done before.
“It is about protecting what works, correcting what needs improvement, and building on existing progress,” Obanikoro stated.
He also underscored that inclusivity remains a priority to ensure that no Lagos resident is left behind regardless of religion, tribe, gender, or social status.
The campaign DG drew attention to the rich private and public sector background of the governorship candidate, Kadri Hamzat (popularly known as KOH).
He noted that Hamzat earned a PhD in Systems Process Engineering from Cranfield University, England, at age 28, and worked with global financial institutions such as Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, and Citibank before serving Lagos State as a three-time commissioner and deputy governor.
The campaign council revealed that extensive consultations have already been conducted with traditional rulers, religious leaders, market traders, youth groups, professionals, and artisans across the state.
”Following Friday’s launch, digital copies of the manifesto will be made available for public download,” he added.
The campaign DG encouraged residents to study the document and submit constructive feedback and suggestions through official party channels to ensure grassroots participation in the state’s future development.
