Cyberabad Traffic Police says traffic construction of multi-level flyover and associated works could continue for at least a year

The road closure was extended to facilitate construction of a multi-level flyover and underpass at IIIT Junction. File

The road between DLF Gate No. 1 and Gachibowli Traffic Police Station will remain closed for another three months from Tuesday (October 27, 2026) to facilitate construction of a multi-level flyover and underpass at IIIT Junction, the Cyberabad Traffic Police said.

The closure, which was initially imposed for 90 days from July 1, has been extended to facilitate faster execution of the construction work. The stretch will be opened partially in phases depending on the progress of the works and availability of road space, police said.

As per the revised traffic advisory issued on Monday (October 26, 2026), vehicles travelling from Radisson Hotel towards IIIT Junction will be allowed up to DLF Gate No. 1 and stopped beyond the gate. Commuters will have to take the Gachibowli Junction route, turn right towards Indiranagar and proceed towards IIIT Junction.

TCS employees using the Non-SEZ (CMC) gate will continue to use their existing entry and exit point.

Traffic travelling from Lingampally towards DLF Road will be diverted at Gachibowli Traffic Police Station and routed via IIIT Junction, Gachibowli Junction and Radisson Junction before reaching DLF.

The traffic police said construction of the flyover and associated works could continue for at least a year and warned of congestion around IIIT Junction during the construction period.

Regular commuters, particularly IT employees, were advised to plan their journeys and use alternative routes. The Cyberabad Traffic Police also appealed to motorists to cooperate with traffic personnel to ensure smooth movement.
