All India Students’ Federation (Telangana) leaders have demanded action against Malla Reddy University and Malla Reddy educational institutions in Medchal-Malkajgiri district for allegedly disrupting academic activities by organising film-related events on its campus.

In a statement, they criticised the university management for hosting a film trailer launch on October 23 and reportedly declaring a holiday, urging students to watch the film upon its release on October 30. Film-related programmes, some extending late into the night, were diverting attention from academics and undermining educational standards, they said.

AISF leaders Kasireddy Manikanta Reddy and Putta Laxman urged the Telangana Council of Higher Education and University Grants Commission officials to investigate the alleged violations and take appropriate action.
