The SRM University–AP hosted “PRARAMBH Demo Day (IGNITE) 2026,” showcasing 34 student start-ups spanning sustainable energy, quantum cybersecurity, and circular economy solutions on Monday (October 26, 2026).

The day-long event was organised by the university’s Directorate of Innovation and Entrepreneurship through the Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning. The participating teams presented their business ideas to a jury comprising industry leaders and venture mentors, receiving feedback to refine their business models and scale their ventures.

Notable pitches included Bharrat Energy, which is developing green hydrogen-based alternatives to conventional LPG systems; Tsiphrion, focused on quantum encryption for digital security and OpenBin, which uses waste-to-wealth technologies to promote a circular economy.

Advisor to the SRM Group Prof. Soumitra Dutta highlighted the importance of resilience, teamwork, and mentorship in building successful start-ups. He urged student founders to use constructive feedback to strengthen their business models and teams.

Director of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at SRM-AP, Srinivasan Thirumalai, commended the students for their innovative approaches to real-world challenges. Innovation Advisor to the Directorate, Vijay N., said nearly 3,000 students had registered for the university’s start-up initiative, marking a significant step in building an entrepreneurial ecosystem on campus.

The Demo Day marked the culmination of the PRARAMBH incubation and mentoring programme, with jury evaluations and strategic guidance aimed at helping student ventures develop into scalable enterprises.
