The Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (TNPDCL) has refuted the allegation that it is purchasing electricity at ₹41.50 per unit, and has agreed to do so till March next year.
The rebuttal comes at a time when TNPDCL is buying electricity at more than ₹33 per unit for evening peak hours. Against this backdrop, the claim that it is purchasing power at ₹41.50 per unit has been widely circulated.
