Ghanaian musician Fameye is set to bring his music to Juaben this December as the annual “December in Juaben” homecoming festival returns with four days of entertainment, culture and community activities.
Organised by the Richmond Amoateng Foundation, the festival will run from December 24 to 27, 2026, bringing residents, returning natives and visitors together under the theme, “Reconnecting Roots, Celebrating Heritage & Building Juabenman Together.”
Fameye will perform alongside other artistes at the carnival night on December 26, with Adu Boaheng Park advertised as the venue. Seleka Shaker will be on DJ duties, while Highest MC will serve as hypeman.
The performance forms part of a programme designed to make Juaben a destination for festive celebrations while strengthening connections between the town and its people.
Activities begin on Thursday, December 24, with the arrival of guests and welcome activities. Christmas Day will feature a students’ party and football gala, creating an opportunity for young people to connect through entertainment and sport.
A health walk and music festival follow on Saturday, December 26, before the celebrations conclude on Sunday, December 27, with “Dinner with Daasebre,” a special dinner gathering.
Beyond the entertainment, the Richmond Amoateng Foundation says the annual initiative reflects a longer-term ambition to strengthen community identity, create opportunities and position Juaben as a vibrant cultural and tourism destination.
For the foundation, the festival is an opportunity to bring culture, people and purpose together, with young people playing a central role in the community’s development.
That vision gives the homecoming a significance beyond the Christmas calendar: a chance for those returning home to reconnect with their roots, renew relationships and contribute to conversations about Juaben’s future.
The festival is expected to attract dignitaries, traditional rulers and other distinguished guests, who will be warmly welcomed by the Juabenmanhene, Nana Otuo Siriboe II, and the Juabenmanhemaa, Nana Akosua Akyamaa IV, alongside other community leaders.
With Fameye on the bill and activities spanning music, sport, wellness and social gatherings, this year’s edition offers several reasons to make Juaben part of the December holiday itinerary.
