ACB launches State-wide Vigilance Awareness Week campaign
The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Andhra Pradesh has launched a State-wide awareness campaign to sensitise the public, students and government employees on corruption prevention and encourage people to report corrupt practices during Vigilance Awareness Week-2026, being observed from October 26-November 1.
As part of the campaign, ACB Director-General Atul Singh inaugurated posters and stickers carrying anti-corruption messages and administered the integrity pledge to senior officers and staff at the ACB headquarters in Vijayawada on Monday.
Following his directions, ACB range officers across the districts have also organised integrity pledges at their offices and launched awareness initiatives in coordination with district-level and judicial officers.
The bureau has been conducting awareness programmes in Degree and Engineering colleges to educate students about anti-corruption laws.
As part of its outreach, the ACB has put up posters and stickers near government offices, bus stations, railway stations and other public places, displaying its toll-free number 1064, WhatsApp number 9440440057 and email address complaints-acb@ap.gov.in for reporting corruption involving government officials.
It plans to organise essay-writing and elocution competitions for high school and college students during the week. ACB officers will also participate in interviews on FM radio and All India Radio to create awareness about the bureau, the Prevention of Corruption Act and the toll-free complaint number.
Slide shows at theatres, bus stations and railway stations, besides the distribution of pamphlets, are also planned in coordination with other departments and the public.
The week-long observance is being held in accordance with the directions of the Central Vigilance Commission, with the objective of promoting integrity and strengthening public participation in the fight against corruption.
