Breaking: Teen dies in hospital days after drive-by shooting south of Brisbane

Vana-Reese Schuster-Togiatau was one of four people gunned down by two masked men during a boxing event at Fitzys Loganholme on Saturday night.

A Queensland teenager has died in hospital days after a drive-by shooting at a pub south of Brisbane.

Vana-Reese Schuster-Togiatau, 19, from Jimboomba was shot in the head and neck at Fitzys Loganholme on Saturday night.

She died at the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

She was one of four people shot by two masked men during a boxing event at the popular local nightspot.

Three men — Zachary Uchtman, Brodie Blackwood and Kane Barrett — were also hospitalised after being shot in the incident.

Logan District Detective Inspector Ian Galpin said the incident was now a homicide investigation.

"A 19-year-old woman in the prime of her life who was simply going out for a night out with friends has had her life taken from her in the most cowardly way," he said.

"We have not stopped and we will not stop until these people are identified and taken into custody."

Detective Inspector Galpin appealed to anyone with information to be to come forward.

"There are people out there who know exactly who was involved in this offence and know exactly why it occurred.

"I'm asking those people to brave enough to come forward with that information and contact police."

With some 80 detectives working on the case, Detective Inspector Galpin said Queensland Police had not ruled out gang involvement in the shooting.

"We are keeping a very open mind to the involvement of gangs," he said.

"That said, our priority now is to identify the persons involved and the reasons for this offence occurring.

"The police have received a lot of information in the last few days.

"I encourage the community to keep that information coming in."
