Hundreds of residents of Nsawam-Adoagyiri have benefited from a free breast cancer screening exercise organised by their MP, Frank Annoh-Dompreh, in collaboration with Partners for Patients NGO.

The three-day exercise took place at Cocoa Park in Adoagyiri from October 26 to 28. It brought screening services and breast cancer education closer to women across the constituency.

Attendance grew as the programme progressed, with more women visiting the venue for screening and professional health advice.

Doctors and other health professionals from Partners for Patients joined the exercise on Wednesday to examine participants and provide guidance on breast health.

The medical team also educated women about breast cancer and the importance of early detection. Participants were encouraged to seek medical attention if they noticed unusual changes in their breasts.

Schools and other community groups joined the awareness activities, extending the programme’s reach beyond those undergoing screening.

The initiative aimed to improve access to healthcare and encourage residents to pay closer attention to their health.

Several beneficiaries thanked Mr Annoh-Dompreh, also the Minority Chief Whip, for facilitating the exercise. They welcomed the opportunity to access screening and health information within their community.
