Couple dies of electrocution in East Godavari district

A couple died of electrocution at at Kummarakunta village under Gopalapuram police limits in East Godavari district after the wife came in contact with an electric wire while drying clothes.

The deceased were identified as Pentaboyina Bangarayya (57) and Appala Narasamma (53).

According to preliminary reports, Ms. Appala Narasamma got electrocuted after touching a live electric wire passing over her house. Mr. Bangarayya attempted to rescue her was also electrocuted. Both died on the spot. The police registered a case and have launched an investigation.
