Three separate fire outbreaks at Bunso, Boso and Nsawam in the Eastern Region have destroyed properties, including a generator, household items and a truck transporting goods, leaving two people injured. According to a post shared on Facebook by the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), its personnel responded to the incidents, which involved a generator fire, a domestic fire and a truck fire following a road accident.

At Triple Court Guest House near Forest Gate at Bunso, a fire suspected to have been caused by an electrical fault destroyed a generator, two water pumps and other personal belongings. Firefighters from the Bunso Fire Station responded and successfully extinguished the blaze, preventing further destruction. No casualties were recorded. In a separate incident at Boso, a domestic fire behind the Salvation Army Church destroyed a television, a mattress and other household belongings.

The fire was reportedly caused by an electrical fault involving a socket. Although no casualties were recorded, the GNFS indicated that no property was salvaged. Meanwhile, a MAN diesel truck with registration number GE-1393-P caught fire on the Accra–Kumasi Highway near Frims Fuel Station at Nsawam after reportedly hitting a pothole, veering off the road and overturning.

The truck, which was transporting packs of Kalyppo drinks and biscuits from Accra to Paga, was engulfed in flames following the accident. Firefighters from the Nsawam Fire Station responded and brought the blaze under control. Two male passengers sustained injuries and were transported to Nsawam Hospital for medical treatment. The GNFS indicated that the poor condition of the road was suspected to have contributed to the accident.

Damage to the truck was estimated at GH¢600,000, while the value of salvaged property was estimated at GH¢200,000. Following the incidents, the GNFS urged the public to ensure proper maintenance of electrical installations to prevent fire outbreaks.
