Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy set a target of increasing the State’s contribution to India’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) to 10% by 2047, from the current level of nearly 5%, as he outlined the State’s economic vision at the curtain-raiser for the Invest Telangana Global Summit 2026.

Addressing business heads at the curtain raiser in New Delhi on Thursday (October 29), he invited the businesses to participate in ‘The Invest Telangana Global Summit’, scheduled to be held at Bharat Future City from December 7 to 9, to explore investment opportunities in the State.

The State was targeting a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and a $3 trillion economy by 2047 under its Telangana Rising–2047 vision, he said, inviting industry leaders to participate in achieving these goals.

Addressing possible concerns among investors over relations between the Centre and the State government, the Chief Minister said Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal’s participation in the event demonstrated the importance attached to cooperation between State and Centre. “Invest in Telangana and Thrive,” he told the gathering.

Mr. Piyush Goyal assured the Centre would be a partner in Telangana’s growth story and said every investment and every job created in the State would contribute to the country’s economic progress.

Mr. Goyal said closer cooperation between the Centre and the State, along with stable policies and a business-friendly environment, would help Telangana expand its economic opportunities, and so will India.

Mr. Revanth Reddy said the government was recalibrating its industrial and technology policies to attract domestic and international investments. The summit would showcase Telangana’s strengths in information technology, pharmaceuticals, life sciences and the animation, visual effects, gaming and comics (AVGC) sectors.

The Chief Minister said Telangana was positioning itself to contribute to India’s efforts to achieve self-reliance in defence production. He pointed to the State’s aerospace exports, which had risen to ₹30,742 crore, and announced plans to introduce the Aerospace and Defence Policy 2.0.

Artificial intelligence and climate change would be special sub-themes at the global summit. Dedicated seminars would bring together meteorological experts, technologists and environmental academics to discuss emerging challenges and technological solutions, he said.
