Mahila Commission seeks probe into Jogi Meghana’s accident allegations
Her father suspects a conspiracy behind the October 15 road accident near Kodad in Telangana
Jogi Meghana, daughter-in-law of former Minister Jogi Ramesh, has expressed suspicion that Mr. Ramesh could be behind the road accident near Kodad in Telangana on October 15. Ms. Meghana had filed a dowry harassment case against her husband and in-laws.
A private travel bus hit the car in which Ms. Meghana and her family members were travelling.
Her father, Krishna, lodged a complaint with the Ibrahimpatnam police of the NTR Commissionerate, suspecting a conspiracy behind the accident. The police registered a case and launched an investigation.
Andhra Pradesh Mahila Commission Chairperson Rayapati Sailaja directed the NTR Commissionerate police to inquire into the allegations made by Ms. Meghana.
“The complainant and her family members sent a message to the Mahila Commission seeking protection and a fair inquiry into the road accident. The Commission directed the police to ensure justice for the victim,” Ms. Sailaja told The Hindu on Friday.
