Amy Dowden is 'determined to get back on the dance floor' as she begins cancer treatment

Professional 'Strictly Come Dancing' dancer Amy Dowden has started treatment for breast cancer. Posting a photo from her hospital bed on June 7, smiling and with two thumbs up, she captioned the photo, "First step to beating cancer! Rrrrrready for this fight and more determined than ever to get back on the dance floor ."
Friends flocked to his comments with support and love. Tom Fletcher, who was partnered with Dowden on the reality show in 2021, wrote, "Sending you all the love today. We Fletchers are right behind you. X" while fellow dancers professionals, including Giovanni Pernice and Gorka Marquez, have added heart emojis. .
The 32-year-old broke the news of her diagnosis to her followers on May 24 via an Instagram post. "Hi everyone, I have some news that is not easy to share," the statement began. "I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, but I'm determined to get back on that dance floor before you know it. Welsh love, Amy x".
The professional dancer was thrust into the limelight when she joined 'Strictly Come Dancing' in 2017, and has since become a fan favorite. She came second in 2019 with famous TV presenter Karim Zeroual. and most recently was paired with actor James Bye in the latest series.
Hello! The magazine reported that the star spotted a hard lump on her right breast the day before her late flight on her honeymoon to the Maldives with her husband, fellow dancer Ben Jones.
She recounted her symptoms to the outlet: "I was in shock; I checked again. I thought, 'Well, it could just be my period, or so many things. . I decided I was going to keep an eye out for a few weeks. On vacation, putting on body lotion every day, I noticed it. She continued, "Then once I got home I went to do a [dance] show with Ben and I was putting on a little shimmer and the mass was so much bigger. I just knew I had to go to doctor."
