Sister Wives: Kody Ditches Robyn to Face Estranged Kids Alone

Hey Sister Wives fans, let’s talk about Kody Brown leaving Robyn Brown at home so he could go on a mission to fix things with his estranged kids. Fans surfaced this week with new questions and new accusations aimed at Kody Brown after they watched the episode about Garrison’s death.

Viewers see a not-so-hidden agenda in Kody’s conversation with Robyn in the last couple of episodes. And… they see this especially as they talk about Kody’s trip.

Sister Wives: Kody Brown’s Mission

Sister Wives fans accuse Kody Brown of using manipulation to try to clean up his reputation as a father during the recent episodes about Garrison’s death. They think Kody also tried to change history with his conversations with Robyn Brown. And he also threw in a few visuals, like Garrison’s poster-size picture on the wall over Kody’s workbench.

The separation between Kody and his children started a couple of years ago. It escalated when Kody pushed his adult children to make amends with Robyn. Kody didn’t like how his grown children treated his youngest wife. They blamed Robyn for Kody not spending time with his other Sister Wives families.

But Kody wouldn’t bend; his relationships would stay strained unless the kids respected Robyn. He refused to sit down for talks unless they apologized to Robyn. So, the relationships got worse instead of better, with Kody standing his ground about Robyn.

Robyn Brown Part of Manipulation Plan?

In the last few Sister Wives episodes, Kody and Robyn stepped out for a Valentine’s Day dinner for two. This is where the viewers see Kody use his conversation with Robyn to lay out the groundwork on his fix-it mission for the fans. We also hear the world according to Kody, which looks a little different for the rest of us.

Fans learned Kody went to Utah to visit with Christine’s “girls”. The viewers assumed Robyn went along, as Kody and Robyn seem to go everywhere together. But Robyn then gave the fans the impression that she didn’t tag along with the Sister Wives patriarch.

Kody didn’t come out and say he went on a solo trip, during that dinner. But Robyn asked Kody to tell her about his trip, as if she wasn’t with him. He filled her in on the things he did while he was there. So if she had gone, she wouldn’t need a blow-by-blow description of Kody’s time away.

Sister Wives: Mending Things with Aspyn?

Over their dinner on the Sister Wives show, Kody tells Robyn all about his trip, including how Aspyn had a heartbreaking talk with him. Aspyn asked Kody why he didn’t like her anymore. Kody told her he loved her and always will. Then he basically blamed her mother, Christine, for turning Aspyn against him.

So, fans were told, in a roundabout way, that Kody went on a mission to mend his relationships. He also made it sound as if he left Robyn at home.

Since Robyn became a problem for many of the kids, Sister Wives fans thought it was probably best for Kody to go it alone. It might make it easier for Kody’s kids to address their problems without Robyn hovering nearby. Considering the estrangement started because Kody spent all his time with Robyn.

Kody Builds Himself Up As The Good Guy

So, instead of this dinner chat being just small talk with Robyn, Sister Wives fans accuse Kody of staging this conversation to make himself look good. He made himself sound like a dad reaching out to his kids.

Conspiracy theories are alive and well online today as fans find much fault with Kody and Robyn’s conversations. Viewers believe Kody put a spin on the last episode to soften that awful father image he earned with his behaviors on the series.

As one Sister Wives fan explains it in a nutshell, Kody used “this convenient revisionist history to try to soften the general belief/understanding that he and those boys were estranged at the time of Garrison’s death.”

Sister Wives: Robyn Softens Things Up a Bit

Robyn also did her share to make her Sister Wives husband look good. She shared in her confessional that Kody was a mess with grief. She also made it sound like her main task was to comfort him. So, she added that extra touch by describing Kody as a father who cares deeply for his children.

In another clip, Kody described how all he could say to everyone was “I am sorry” when meeting the family face-to-face at Garrison’s funeral services. But instead of describing what he was sorry for, he left this open-ended.

So while it sounds like Kody Brown apologized for his shortcomings as a father to his estranged children, he never made it clear as to why he passed out these apologies. But Sister Wives viewers said it sounded like Kody wanted fans to assume he apologized for not being there as a dad.

How This All Started?

Viewers also questioned Kody’s reason for telling Robyn that he wanted to take “my boy” home. Sister Wives fans saw this as another manipulation from Kody to fix his negative father reputation. So, Sister Wives viewers suggest Kody used the last couple of episodes to soften his father image.

How this all started… The Sister Wives family was deteriorating even before Kody’s estrangement from his kids. But the end of family life as they once knew it was fast-tracked during COVID. Kody took a stand around his list of rules for COVID, which started his estrangement with his kids. They refused to follow his strict demands. But they blamed Robyn for creating this list instead of Kody.

If the kids wouldn’t follow his rules, Kody made it clear that he was not visiting the other families. So, the other Sister Wives moms and their kids blamed Robyn for Kody not being available to them. Tempers flared, and some of the older kids got on social media telling their side of the story, in which Robyn Brown was the villain, at times, even more so than Kody.

Then Kody demanded that his kids stop blaming Robyn. Instead, he demanded they show respect to her. Kody said they’d also have to accept Robyn if they wanted a relationship with him. It sounded like it was a package deal of Robyn and Kody if the kids wanted a relationship with their father.

All of this popped up around the same time that Gabriel questioned in a confessional if Kody’s rules really had anything to do with COVID. Or if it was just an excuse for Kody to spend more time with Robyn and her kids.

The rest is history, as these accusations about Robyn caused Kody to go off the rails.

Sister Wives: Kody and Robyn Plant the Seeds

Now, after the death of Garrison, fans see Kody trying to clean up his reputation as the Sister Wives father. Kody planted the seeds during his talks with Robyn. The fans felt Kody manipulated the situation so the viewers would make the assumption that he’s turned over a new leaf. This includes actively trying to mend the relationships with his kids.

But other than describing his conversation with Aspyn, Kody never mentioned if he had a heart-to-heart with any of the other kids. He said he went to Utah to see Christine’s girls.

He also said while he was there he got to see a couple of his other kids, from “another mother.” So, Sister Wives fans assumed he meant Janelle’s kids. But, again, he didn’t mention names.

So, taking in all he said about this trip, you might think that he made some headway with several of his kids. But he never said that or mentioned any of the kids’ names that he saw, other than Aspyn.

Today Sister Wives fans suggest this was Kody’s way of manipulating the viewers into believing he is mending the relationships with his kids. But the question still swirls online… Did he?
