Then, as Kody talked, Robyn interrupted and said Aspyn’s approach to him was confrontational. And many Sister Wives fans were outraged that Robyn labeled Aspyn in this way. Things went downhill from there.

One thing of note was that at the memorial service, seen on the Sister Wives show, Kody did not sit with Garrison’s mother, Janelle. Instead it was Hunter with Janelle—we’ve heard that Hunter was in that honored spot because Janelle preferred him at her side.

Kody was also left out of the presentation of the urn containing Garrison’s ashes. This precious canister was handed to Garrison’s brothers. And Kody addressed this in a roundabout way in his fire pit conversation with Robyn.

Kody talked about bringing “my boy home,” which means to Wyoming. Then he said he would be taking the urn from his other sons so he could handle where Garrison’s remains would rest.

So, Sister Wives fans think it bothered Kody that he was not the one given Garrison’s remains. To fix that, Kody made it sound as if he were in control of what ultimately happened.

Kody also sounded like it was his decision to inter Garrison in Wyoming. But Janelle agreed to it, and in fact, reports indicate the final decision was not Kody’s but Janelle’s. And since that’s where her mom is laid to rest, she wanted Garrison at her mom’s side.

Kody and Robyn’s fireside reveals really rubbed fans the wrong way, but airing out what happened with Aspyn also bothered viewers. It’s easy to sit and spin your own version of events when there’s no one there to shed light, contradict you or bring up details you sidestep.

Ultimately, a vast number of viewers feel Kody betrayed Aspyn by revealing their private father-daughter chat. And to ice the crap cake, Robyn said Aspyn confronted her dad. To sum up the vibe of most fan comments—they thought Kody and Robyn spat on Aspyn by sharing this private moment and then criticizing her approach.

And here’s one last thought. First, it doesn’t sound like Kody was confronted by Aspyn. And second, so what if she did? After Kody took such a big step back from his grown kids, doesn’t he deserve to be confronted?
