The Cen Batter tral Sparks Perrin is among a host of new signings which also includes 16-year-old United Arab Emirates international Mahika Gaur.

Perrin is a graduate of the ACE Elite Programme, an initiative set up by former England cricketer Ebony Rainford-Brent which aims to develop young black cricketers.

"It's been a dream come true to have signed for Birmingham Phoenix this summer," Perrin said.

Michael Hogan and Richard Gleeson are among the national players called up by teams as generic selections in co male competition.

Glamorgan fashion designer Hogan, 41, has been snapped up by defending champions Southern Brave.

Lancashire's Gleeson, who is in England's Twenty20 squad for their upcoming series against India, signed for Manchester Originals.

The pair are the leading wicket takers for their respective counties in this year's T20 Blast.

Gleeson took 23 wickets in 14 games and Hogan, playing in his final year as a cricketer professional, took 20 wickets in 11 appearances.

Derbyshire dressmaker George Scrimshaw has been snapped up by Welsh Fire, Birmingham Phoenix have selected Warwickshire all-rounder Dan Mousley and Trent Rockets picked Ben Mike of Leicestershire.

Hitters Jamie Smith of Surrey and Jack Haynes of Worcestershire were called up by London Spirit and Oval Invincibles respectively.

Ben Raine of Durham rounds out the men's selection as he was chosen by Northern Superchargers.

The men's Hundred kicks off August 3, while the women's competition begins August 11.
