BREAKING: Tragic Tanker Explosion in Lagos Claims Lives and Destroys Property

A devastating tanker explosion occurred on Tuesday night on Otedola Bridge in Lagos, resulting in significant loss and damage. The incident, which took place around 10:30 p.m., led to the recovery of two unidentified bodies and left four people with varying degrees of injuries.

The explosion also caused extensive destruction, burning down four buildings and 15 vehicles, including tricycles, as well as an unspecified number of shops and household properties.According to CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, the accident is believed to have happened when the tanker was attempting to ascend the link road to the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway near Otedola Bridge. The vehicle reportedly somersaulted, spilling its entire contents onto the road, which immediately ignited into a massive fire.

The exact details of the vehicle, including its registration number and make, remain unknown at this time.
