Young and Restless Early Spoilers Aug 4-8: Adam’s Dark Secrets, Diane’s Panic & Three Emotional Funerals

Young and the Restless spoilers for August 4-8, 2025 see Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) digging, Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) really worried, and three funerals.

As we always do on early edition day, we talk about what’s coming the rest of this week and then we’ll talk about the action for next week.

Victor Newman and Cane Ashby’s Tense Confrontation Sparks War Threats in Genoa City

On Wednesday, July 30th, we’ve got Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) approaching Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), who is still in France. Cane admits he made some mistakes, but Victor gets nasty and blames Cane for the deaths that happened and for Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) injury. Cane insists he’d have gotten Carter (Vincent Stalba) the help he needed if he had known about his mental health issues.

Victor says he knows about Cane’s Genoa City real estate purchases and makes some threats. Cane promises Victor that if it’s war he wants instead of peace, he’ll make it happen. Victor accuses Cane of sending Carter to kill Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers) and warns that if Cane comes back to Genoa City, he better avoid the Newmans. Victor vows to be Cane’s worst enemy.

Young and Restless Spoilers: Adam & Chelsea Bond 

Back in Genoa City, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is shocked to find out Dumas is Cane as she and Adam talk business. They want to figure out Cane’s next purchase since he got the GCAC and other properties. Victoria knew that he was Cane before her and Adam talked, just to clarify, but that was part of their discussion.

Adam has a realtor looking for patterns because they’re trying to figure out if they can do an end run. Victoria worries about working with Adam because of their many past issues, but he just wants them to work together to protect the family. He even says Victoria can call the shots, and she likes that. She tells Adam she wants to make things rough for Cane when he returns to Genoa City.

Emotional Support and Family Dynamics Amidst Tragedy in Genoa City

Chelsea Lawson Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) consoles a grief-stricken Claire Grace Newman (Hayley Erin), and they talk about love and loss. Claire is concerned about forgetting her dad’s face and voice and how much time she missed out on him already. Chelsea reassures Claire that she will never forget Cole Howard’s (J. Eddie Peck) love for her.

Victoria flatters Adam and says he’s changed in good ways. He credits Chelsea, who turns around and credits their son Connor Newman (Judah Mackey). Victor phones Adam and says they’re going to be heading home once Nick is out of the hospital. Victor warns that Cane is conspiring with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and a war is brewing.

Young and Restless Spoilers: Amy Lewis Shattered 

Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) ruins Amy Lewis’s (Valarie Pettiford) great day when he tells her Damian was killed. She’s absolutely horrified. Nate explains that Carter killed Damian to clear the way for Cane to be with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), and then Carter killed himself because he was unhinged. Amy blames herself for bringing Damian to Genoa City, and Nate comforts her, telling her it’s not her fault. Damian was already working for Cane, so bad things might have happened since Carter was clearly crazy.

Newman Family Prepares for War and Faces Internal Challenges

On Thursday, July 31st, Victor reunites the family. The Newmans are all back together in Genoa City, preparing for war with Cane, Billy, and all the allies. They’re going to circle the wagons around Newman Enterprises, Chancellor, and Newman Media. Diane and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) are worried about Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor).

Diane is particularly concerned because of what happened in France and Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) and Victor plotting. Kyle was in the frame of mind to come back to Genoa City and burn down Audra for what happened. But he’s kind of derailed now that he knows he missed Claire’s father dying and wasn’t there for that.

We’ll see if he comes back hot on that or if he’s solely focused on Claire. Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Nick are already facing a challenge with their fresh reunion. It might be a Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford)-led challenge. We’ll see what roadblocks she might throw up.

Jack Abbott and Billy Abbott’s Strained Relationship and Phyllis Summers’ Risky Plans

On Friday, August 1st, Jack does something for Billy that really costs him. The brothers had a conversation where Billy told Jack that once they get back home, things are going to change. Are he and Billy about to part ways? Is Jack going to fund the company and then wash his hands of it? Jack has given Billy so much rope. Billy thinks he’s a cowboy, but he’s not.

Phyllis’s new plan really has her son Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) concerned. He probably thinks Phyllis is gambling unwisely on her future by plotting with Billy on the whole Chancellor thing and siding with Cane against everybody else in town. It’s going to be messy on Young and the Restless. Also, look for Daniel to spend time helping Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks). Daniel is hanging out with Tessa and Aria in the park.

Upcoming Funerals and Cane’s Growing Influence in Genoa City

The week of August 4th through 8th, we have funeral planning. Three funerals are coming. I’m assuming the first one is going to be Cole. I wonder if it’s going to be offscreen. Damian’s might be offscreen too. Chance Chancellor’s (Conner Floyd) funeral better not be offscreen, but we shall see.

Since Cole was the first to go and Victoria and Claire have been waiting on his funeral till the family gets back, that should be first up. Cane may set up shop and housekeeping both at the GCAC unless Y&R decides to splash out some money on a new office or house set for him.

I expect Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) and Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) to both be at the GCAC living there, conspiring with him. That’ll make it easier for Cane to plot with his minions. Billy’s going to be dropping by a lot to plot.

Young and Restless Spoilers: Sally & Billy’s Relationship at Risk 

I’m interested to see how Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) reacts to Billy’s new plan to work with Phyllis on Chancellor and with Cane on a lot of revenge stuff. Chelsea and Adam are going to let the Newmans know that Holden is Cane’s local minion. I expect to see Holden having a sad reaction to Damian’s death despite their recent differences. I wonder if the Abbotts and the Newmans are going to avoid the GCAC because Cane bought it.

Or be there a lot more to keep a close eye on him. Cane buying it may really bother Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) since their dad Neil Winters’ (Kristoff St. John) jazz lounge is there. It’s not like they can move it away from him. Lily is going to be trying to avoid Cane at every turn, and of course, he’s probably stalking her at every turn because he has not given up, as he told Amanda.

Young and Restless Spoilers: Nate Gets in Cane’s Face 

Nate is going to be confronting Cane about Damian’s murder. I’m sure Nate’s going to have words with him. Once Amy meets Cane, I bet she will have some things to say as well. Amy and Nate seeing Cane all the time in Genoa City is going to be a very unpleasant reminder of her losing her son and Nate losing his brand new brother.

Genoa City will be grieving Chance’s death as word spreads. Remember Billy? He really needs to call Jill Abbott (Jess Walton), but he said he didn’t think she wanted to hear from him. Somebody’s got to call and tell Jill the hard news. I’m guessing Lily will be the one to do it.

Victor and the family get busy plotting Cane’s downfall, and Billy may be collateral damage in the coming war. I wonder if Chelsea will back off defending Billy and trying to stop Victor from trashing him with Newman Media now that Billy has chosen sides against them and allied himself so closely with Cane.
