Compton-born rapper The gamereal name Jayceon Terrell Taylor, found a special way to give back to his community and ring in the new year. In an Instagram post, Taylor was shown jumping out of his luxury Mercedes whip to treat members of his old neighborhood to brand-new Xbox consoles. The comments were filled with support, as many praised the “Dreams” rapper for making a positive impact on his community.

Taylor explained in his Instagram caption that he woke up in a giving mood on New Year’s Day. In the video, the rapper was seen stopping by his old neighborhood, handing out brand-new Xbox gaming consoles to kids and their families. In one clip, Taylor tells a recipient to share it with his brother, while in another, he jumps at a red light to flag down the car next to him.
Taylor’s New Year’s gifts meant more to him than some might imagine, as the rapper reflected on watching his mother work day and night when he was a child to buy him a Nintendo on the first day it came out. “I love my mom and her parental dedication is what made me the father/person I am today,” he said.
“January 1, 2026……. Mom, your son made it, thank you,” he finished.

Taylor’s kind gesture was highlighted on @TheShadeRoom on Instagram, and the comments section was flooded with kind words thanking and praising the rapper for giving back to the community that helped shape him. “This is what I want to see in the car,” someone wrote, while another said: “Just appreciate a man doing something positive.”

Taylor isn’t the only public figure sharing his wealth this holiday season, as NFL stars Joe Burrow, Patrick Mahomes and Aaron Rodgers gave their offensive linemen expensive gifts for their hard work during the 2025 season.
According to The Blast, Burrow went back in time with his gift, allowing his linemen to choose from a variety of prehistoric fossils, including “authentic” dinosaur, bear and mammoth remains.
Mahomes gave his linemen a flashy gift set including Meta sunglasses, Beats Studio Pro headphones, a Hublot watch, an electric bike and more, while Rodgers gave his Steelers teammates $20,000 worth of Can-Am Maverick X3-X turbos.

The game recalls a difficult conversation with Kanye West

Recently, Taylor made headlines after appearing on Shannon Sharpe’s “Club Shay Shay” podcast. During his conversation, the rapper discussed with the Super Bowl champion his past comments regarding Kim Kardashian, in which he claimed to have had a sexual relationship with her.
“Sometimes, man, you wake up and you choose a little violence,” he said. “If I tried to make an excuse for my behavior, there is simply no excuse. It’s not the right thing to do on the right day.”
In 2019, Taylor sent social media users into a frenzy when he shared a preview of one of his songs, in which he claimed to have made the reality star “swallow my kids until she chokes.”

Taylor told Sharpe that he ultimately limited his public statements about the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star because of her relationship with ex-husband, Kanye West.

Taylor admitted to Sharpe that, despite his vulgar comments, he never apologized to Kim for speaking publicly about their alleged interactions.
When asked if he would, Taylor surprisingly agreed, saying, “We were always relaxed. But yes, I’m going to apologize to Kim today.”
