Reports previously claimed that the ‘Bad Blood’ hitmaker had already contacted some of her friends to join her wedding bandwagon, with big plans in the works.

However, an insider has now shared that Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are “not even halfway through the guest list” and are taking their time with their projects as the football player mulls possible retirement.

Swift and Kelce’s romance is still going strong following their engagement, but wedding plans are reportedly “on hold.”

Although they are rumored to be getting married on June 13 at Ocean House in Watch Hill, Rhode Island, sources close to the couple revealed that they have been putting the brakes on preparations for the big day.

“They’re not even halfway through the guest list,” a source told journalist Rob Shuter’s #Shuterscoop. “Right now it’s more about spending time together than working on spreadsheets.”

The insider went further to explain that they are slowing down now because Kelce is trying to sort out issues surrounding his NFL future after enduring a disappointing season with the Kansas City Chiefs.

“Travis is still wondering if he will play next year,” the source shared. “They don’t want to worry about a wedding when there’s so much else going on.”

Amid their slow-moving wedding plans, Swift and Kelce were recently in date mode, as they were seen enjoying a low-key outing at Beverly Hills hotspot Funke.

The couple looked relaxed and stylish in their outfits as the chart-topping singer wore a gray blazer over a pleated white skirt, while the Super Bowl-winning tight end sported a color-blocked button-down shirt.

It seems like Swift doesn’t want to rush things either, as she’s detail-oriented and wouldn’t want to leave anything unattended.

“Taylor is usually very meticulous about every detail, but with Travis, she’s relaxed. They’re taking it easy. The wedding isn’t stressing them out yet — they’re enjoying the engagement,” another source said.

“The buzzer is on, but that’s about it,” noted a close friend. “No big meetings, no seating charts. They’re in dating mode, not wedding mode.”

Travis Kelce could retire after this football season

While it’s unclear how soon Kelce will resolve issues surrounding his future with the NFL, rumors have surfaced suggesting he may be drawing the curtains on his football career.

With his contract expiring on March 11, 2026, he is one of several Chiefs stars expected to become free agents at the end of the NFL year.

During a previous episode of his “New Heights” podcast, he admitted that he was still “figuring out” whether he would play next season.

“I want to make sure my body is ready, that I can fully commit,” Kelce said.

Kelce further hinted that he could still return to the field, but it will depend on how his body feels.

“I don’t know, it’s a hard thing to deal with,” Kelce said on his podcast. “But at the same time, if my body can heal, rest and if I can have confidence that I can go out there and give it another 18, 20, 21 weeks of racing.”

“I think I would definitely do it. At the moment I’m just looking for that answer. And I’ll see how the body feels after this match and when everything stabilizes,” added the 36-year-old.

Taylor Swift has already started building her bridal train

Meanwhile, Swift has already started perfecting her plans for her bridal train, as reports suggest she’s enlisted some of her A-list friends to join them.

Reports claim she asked her friend Gigi Hadid to be her bridesmaid, and the model was “thrilled” and immediately agreed.

The “Blank Space” singer also invited her friend Selena Gomez, with reports suggesting she plans to ask the others in person to let them know how special they are.

“Taylor wants to start the wedding process this way: by creating her bridesmaid group and involving everyone in the preparations, celebrations and planning,” a source said.

“She wants it to be fun and memorable for everyone, with parties, trips and spending time together before the big day,” they added.

The singer reportedly turns to Gomez for advice following her marriage to her partner, Benny Blanco, last year.
