Percy (Scobell), Annabeth (Leah Sava Jeffries) and Grover (Aryan Simhadri) lead the demigods of Camp Half-Blood into battle against Luke (Charlie Bushnell) and his team, who are trying to resurrect the titan Kronos. The climactic fight ends with Clarisse (Dior Goodjohn) completing her journey and she uses the Golden Fleece to heal Thalia’s tree. However, he did more than repair the ancient tree, he also resurrected Thalia.

He explained that the series would be aimed at an older audience, because the creators of the series know that the majority of viewers who liked Percy Jackson and the Olympians were probably children who grew up with the characters. And it would also appeal more to already adult fans.

It’s much more mature than seasons 1 and 2. The end of season 2 really sets the tone for season 3. It’s written for a slightly older audience. They expected our audience to be a little bit older than Seasons 1 and 2. So I’m really excited that that’s happening.

The actor explained that he was very happy with the direction the story was taking and hoped the series would last beyond just one more season, so audiences could continue to see these characters grow.

I guess it just shows the brutal reality of the world they live in…it’s like a normal demigod thing in many ways, unfortunately for them. I’m really happy that we’re leaning into this more, because it also shows that our characters aren’t invincible. They’re hurt, and it’s important to remember that, especially as we approach all the crazy things we have to do in Season 3 and, hopefully, if renewed, 4 and 5.
