Watching a full series of Jurassic Park and Jurassic World movies takes a lot of time, but life finds a way, so you should too.

I first saw Jurassic Park one fateful day in middle school, when my teacher rolled up in a cart topped with a CRT television, inserted a VHS tape, and pressed play. I was instantly hooked and have since watched the film countless times, including a trip in 2013 to see it in 3D on the big screen at my AMC theater.
Jurassic World: Renaissance was released in July 2025 as the seventh film in the franchise. With runtimes ranging from 1 hour and 32 minutes for Jurassic Park III to 2 hours and 27 minutes for Jurassic World: Dominion, binge-watching the franchise is a 14 hour and 40 minute commitment. Or 14 hours and 54 minutes if you watch the longer 14 minute extended edition, 2 hours and 41 minutes of Jurassic World: Dominion. But life finds a way. So if you’re like me and want to rewatch all of the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World movies in order, here’s where you can stream the series.
How many Jurassic Park and Jurassic World movies are there?
By my calculations, it will take 14 hours and 40 minutes to watch all seven Jurassic Park and World films (not including popcorn and bathroom breaks). If you watch the extended edition of Jurassic World: Dominion rather than the theatrical cut, that rises to 14 hours and 54 minutes.
Screenshot/CNETThe Jurassic Park franchise consists of seven main films: the original Jurassic Park trilogy alongside the Jurassic World quadrilogy. There are also two television series, Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous and Jurassic World: Chaos Theory. Here’s how to watch the entire universe of Jurassic Park movies and TV shows in chronological order by release date:
- Jurassic Park (1993)
- The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997)
- Jurassic Park III (2001)
- Jurassic World (2015)
- Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018)
- Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous (2020 TV series)
- Jurassic World: Dominion (2022)
- Jurassic World: Chaos Theory (2024 TV series)
- Jurassic World: Rebirth (2025)
Do you need to watch the entire Jurassic Park franchise before Jurassic World: Rebirth?
I recommend watching the entire Jurassic Park series before Rebirth. There are numerous throughlines and plot points connecting the films, including the Jurassic World expansion exposing the themes of genetic experimentation from the original trilogy. The Jurassic Park sequel, The Lost World, saw the return of Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) and John Hammond (Richard Attenborough). Dr. Alan Grant (Sam Neill) and Dr. Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern) return in Jurassic Park III.
Jurassic World rebooted the franchise in 2015 with the action returning to Isla Nublar – where it all began in the original film – this time with Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard starring. Goldblum returns in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom alongside Pratt and Howard. Jurassic World: Dominion sits firmly in the middle of the Jurassic Park/Jurassic World Venn diagram, with franchise stars Pratt, Howard, Goldblum, Neill, and Dern comprising the ensemble cast.
While there is continuity between the entire series to varying degrees, the Jurassic World films really build on each other. You can You’ll be able to skip Jurassic Park III if a nearly 15-hour marathon bites off more than you can chew – the film even takes place on a different island than the original, Isla Sorna. But Jurassic World, Fallen Kingdom, Dominion, and Rebirth are pretty interconnected, with essential world-building elements. So while I recommend watching everything, you should at least watch Jurassic Park and The Lost World alongside the Jurassic World films.
In addition to the main films, there are a few spin-off television series: Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous and Jurassic World: Chaos Theory. Both shows are canon and while you don’t need to watch them to follow the film series, they are additive, offering more of the franchise for die-hard fans to explore. Camp Cretaceous and Chaos Theory are available to stream on Netflix.
