The base has a touchscreen that contains buttons for presets – such as Smoothie, Soup, Chop, Ice Crush, Frozen Dessert and Spread – and a rotary dial that sets the consistency to coarse, medium or smooth. This gives you a total of 18 options present, plus 10 manual speeds, a pulse function and a dedicated cleaning mode.
Speaking of cleaning, the pitcher is triangular shaped to ensure less food gets stuck to the sides and is also dishwasher safe. The built-in cleaning mode is convenient but also essential, as the included blades are not removable.
