It’s been more than 30 years since “Tommy Boy” hit theaters nationwide — and Rob Lowe just made it public that he wants some damn credit!

The actor had an uncredited role as Paul in the 1995 comedy starring Chris Farley, David Spade, Bo Derek and Brian Dennehy… but Rob says that needs to change – pronto! — in an open letter to Paramount Skydance CEO David Ellison.

Waiting for your permission to load the Twitter Tweet.

Rob posted the letter to his X account Thursday night…and, we have to admit, the whole thing seems like a joke. For starters, Rob says that among the “long-standing, significant and unresolved issues” is his lack of credit on “Tommy Boy.”

He then explains that it is an “atrocity” perpetrated by a previous regime at Paramount and a stain on the company’s legacy. Rob goes on to say… he and others are urging Ellison to “be on the right side of history and rectify this heinous act, with the addition of: ‘and Rob Lowe as Paul’ above the title.”

Like we said…this all seems very ironic…but maybe Rob has harbored negative feelings about this over the years and is just now speaking out about it with comical bluster.

We’ll have to see where this goes…if anywhere.
