Kodak Black missed concert due to flight delay, played for free at another venue

Kodak Black loves performing — after the rapper missed a scheduled concert in Midland, Texas, on Friday, he decided he wasn’t going to let that stop him from putting on a show…and took the stage at another venue for free!

Midland fans were understandably upset about Kodak’s absence, but we’re told Kodak was too.

Kodak’s lawyer Bradford Cohen told TMZ…the cancellation of the planned show wasn’t Kodak’s fault at all and it was 100% due to plane issues.

According to Cohen, Kodak was supposed to fly to Texas on a plane from Florida, but there were problems with the plane. So Kodak called the plane’s owner, who arranged for Kodak to take another plane at another airport. The problem was…by the time he got there in Texas, the place was closed.

Cohen says Kodak felt so bad about letting everyone down that he went to a second venue nearby and put on a free impromptu show for a group of fans.

The original venue, Black Gold Event Center, released a statement, expressing deep regret for the cancellation and let fans know… “anyone wishing a refund should request one directly through the platform on which the tickets were originally purchased.”
