During our most recent vegan luxury travel adventures across Southeast Asia, we were impressed by how seriously luxury hotels take plant-based dining. In Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Singapore, Bali and Saigon, we’ve found hotels that offer not just a token vegetarian or vegan option, but truly thoughtful and indulgent dining experiences. From buffets and brunches bursting with nutritional and creative inclusions to an entirely plant-based café where every dish is carefully composed and an exceptional vegan dining experience that is sure to impress, it has been exciting to see how chefs are pushing the boundaries of flavor and presentation. Every hotel we visited showed that plant-based dining can be as thoughtful, luxurious, and memorable as any other part of a stay at a five-star hotel or resort. The following five properties stood out to us, not only for the quality of the food, but also for the way they fit naturally into the overall experience, leaving us nourished, satisfied, and eager to return to each one.
St Regis Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia Part of one of the most exclusive hotel brands in the world, St Regis Kuala Lumpur is among the best luxury hotels in the bustling Malaysian capital. Every detail, from the interiors to the service, was exquisite and refined, and this same attention carried over into the culinary experiences of our stay. On the first Saturday of each month, the hotel hosts “Plant & Palate – A Vegetarian Brunch”, at the Brasserie, which combines a refined à la carte menu with a comprehensive buffet featuring new and creative additions each month.
Standout dishes during our visit included miso-roasted eggplant, vibrant salads, vegan cheeses, and a selection of delicious desserts. While the basic brunch structure remains consistent, the evolving buffet keeps the experience fresh and engaging for guests who choose to return. The relaxed yet refined ambiance, featuring a classical violinist, coupled with attentive and professional service, makes Plant & Palate at St Regis a true highlight for vegetarian and vegan diners during their stay in Kuala Lumpur.
Paradox Bangkok Sukhumvit in Thailand Paradox Bangkok Sukhumvit which was formerly the Four Points Sheraton Bangkok Sukhumvit, continues to host one of the most impressive plant-based brunches in the city. The “Vegan and Vegetarian Brunch Buffet” takes place on the second and fourth Saturday of each month at Local Table, the hotel’s main restaurant, and offers over 100 dishes from around the world, the majority of which are vegan. We have returned several times and are always impressed by the variety and quality of the offering. Thai curries, noodle dishes, stir-fries, pizzas, fresh salads, smoothie bowls, vegan cheeses and delicious desserts are all presented in abundance, encouraging exploration without feeling overwhelming.
Don’t miss the small choice of à la carte options that are available in addition to the copious buffet, including the CFC (Cruelty Free Chicken) which is naughty but so nice. The brunch buffet is very well labeled, clearly showing vegan and vegetarian options, as well as dishes that do not contain onion and garlic, this approach together with the relaxed atmosphere makes it attractive to hotel guests, travelers and locals alike.
Viceroy Bali in Indonesia Viceroy Bali represents the pinnacle of luxury living in Bali, as a member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World, the resort offers exceptional privacy, attentive service and breathtaking views of the valley with rice fields stretching into the distance. The vegan and plant-based food we enjoyed during our stay was of an exceptionally high standard, starting with a varied and nourishing breakfast and continuing throughout our meals in the restaurant. Waterfalls.
But it is by experiencing “The art of culinary gastronomy” at Aperitifthe resort’s fine-dining restaurant, where we were treated to one of the most memorable multi-course vegan tasting menus we’ve ever tasted in Southeast Asia, with each dish executed with precision and depth of flavor. The service was exquisite and our plates were works of art almost too beautiful to eat, everything was just perfect and created memories that will last forever, or at least until we return, which we most certainly will! Viceroy Bali is a place where elevated luxury and fine plant-based gastronomy come together effortlessly, creating an experience that is both indulgent and memorable.
Everything you need to plan your trip in 2026 New World Saigon Hotel in Vietnam Hotel New World Saigon has been welcoming customers to the Vietnamese capital since 1994 and continues to evolve in every way, including meeting the ever-increasing demand for vegetarian, vegan and plant-based dishes. Park View, the hotel’s all-day restaurant, offers a range of plant-based dishes as well as Vietnamese dishes such as fresh spring rolls, rice noodles and fried rice, as well as Western options including vegan cheese pizza, cashew cheese tacos and a vegan burger. The very impressive “GO LUNCH Vegetarian Buffet” is available every lunchtime and presents a wide selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes in a bright and airy setting.
With its central location, established reputation and emphasis on flavor and variety, New World Saigon Hotel has firmly positioned itself as a luxury vegan option with its thoughtful approach to dining for those who want to enjoy healthy and nutritious plant-based foods.
Maxwell Reserve, autograph collection in Singapore Our stay at Maxwell reserve, autograph collection I felt relaxed and quietly refined, which was perfect after a long day of traveling to reach Singapore. Our suite was well appointed and the service was attentive, but it was the food that was the icing on our vegan cake. ‘Cultivate Cafe’ is the hotel’s entirely plant-based restaurant (open daily from 11am to 9pm) and where we enjoyed a long, leisurely lunch, with everything we tasted truly satisfying. We enjoyed vibrant bowls filled with grains and fresh vegetables, hearty main courses with layered flavors, and desserts that were indulgent without being heavy.
Finding a fully vegan restaurant in a hotel is a huge pleasure and something we wish was more common, Maxwell Reserve is certainly in the lead and I hope others follow. Breakfast at the hotel’s main restaurant included vegan options such as chia pudding, vegan yogurt, oatmeal, and smoothies, making our mornings easy and enjoyable. But the highlight was of course dining at Cultivate Cafe and seeing how each dish was nutritionally balanced, thoughtfully presented and delicious. Maxwell Reserve is a luxury hotel where plant-based dining is an integral part of the stay, making it one of our favorite vegan luxury hotels in Singapore.
After staying at each of these five hotels and resorts (some already more than once), it’s clear that vegan and plant-based dining is no longer an afterthought at luxury Southeast Asian establishments. Everyone’s food was creative, generous and full of flavor. Whether it was the fine buffet at the St Regis, the extensive global selection at Paradox, the bowls and desserts at Cultivate Cafe, the finest fine dining at Aperitif or the impressive daily buffet at Park View, each dining experience left us feeling nourished and truly satisfied. These hotels and resorts have shown us that vegan, vegetarian and plant-based food can be exciting, indulgent and completely integrated into a luxury stay. For anyone looking for comfort, variety and thoughtful dining in the area, choosing one of these properties will be a real treat and allow you to create your own memories.
