Honey Boo Boo’s Mom, Mama June, Says New Illness Is Not Cancer

June “Mama June” Shannon gave an update on her health earlier this week, revealing a serious new medical issue…but she tells us it’s not as serious as some feared.

“It’s not cancer,” Mama June told us when we surprised her and her kids in New York on Wednesday. “Before I had my hysterectomy, I was thinking about the C-word, because I had cysts and all that… But what I’m dealing with now, it has nothing to do with my hormones or anything like that. It’s totally different.”

Mama June said Page six she’s dealing with something that could “immobilize” her, but she didn’t elaborate with us…except to confirm that it shouldn’t be life-threatening.

Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompsonon the other hand, was more than willing to talk about her relationship with her boyfriend Dralin Carswell.
