10 Christian Books to Read This Spring

If you’re like me, you love to read all year round. They say people read more in the summer, but I think any time of year is the perfect time to immerse yourself in a good book. Spring is the perfect time of year as the weather is warmer and you can read outside if you prefer. If you’re looking for new reads for your library, here are some recommendations to keep you turning the pages.

1. cowboy heart by Alexa Verde

I’m currently reading Alexa’s Cowboy crossing series, and I love it. She’s a fantastic writer. If you like cowboys and the beach, this set is for you. It presents the first five books of her Seaside Cowboys series, plus a bonus short story, and is about a family of cowboy brothers. These books contain all the tropes we love, like romance, family, humor, mystery, and suspense.

2. Cowboy heart too by Alexa Verde

If you loved the box cowboy heartyou will love it Cowboy heart too. This set contains the final five books in the Seaside Cowboys series plus a bonus novella. This series is Christian and refined.

3. Black Star by Creston Mapes

I love rockstar romances, but every time I start reading this trope it turns into something gross and disgusting. So when I came across Black Star and I saw that it was a clean Christian suspense book, that caught my attention. It’s a fantastic book. It’s about a rock star named Everett Lester who lives his dream but falls apart due to depression, alcohol and drugs. He is desperate for something that can bring peace to his soul. In search of answers, he consults a medium. What begins as a quest for answers quickly turns into something sinister.

Then the letters come from a young woman in Kansas who says she’s not a fan, but a friend. She says she prays for him and that his faith may be the only thing standing between Everett and destruction.

Then a mysterious murder shocks the country and a high-profile trial takes place in Florida. As the nation watches, the truth comes to light amidst fame, deception, and spiritual warfare.

4. Total tilt by Creston Mapes

Total tilt is the second book in the Chronicles of rock stars. Everett Lester turned over a new leaf and gave his life to Jesus. His new tour brings him back on the road to perform for a new cause. But he quickly learns that he cannot escape his dark past.

His wife, Karen, received news that turned their world upside down, and his gambling-addicted brother Eddie and the rest of their family reacted to his new journey with hatred and disdain. When the crowd closes in on Eddie, Everett and Karen are drawn into his nightmare as well.

To make matters worse, Everett’s nephew, Wesley, blames Everett for his brother’s death. Soon, Wesley meets a psychotic drug addict named Tony Bandino, and the two boys and their gang won’t stop until they take out Everett or anyone who gets in their way.

I read this book in a few days and it was fantastic.

5. The Brotherhood of the Seaside by Jessie Gussman

Jessie Gussman is one of my favorite authors, and her newest release sounds great. It’s about a woman named Quinn whose husband leaves her nothing but a suitcase and a broken heart.

She must start over on the Outer Banks and live with her mother-in-law, who is facing financial ruin and whose husband is slipping deeper into dementia. Quinn fears she has jumped onto another sinking ship.

While cleaning vacation rentals and avoiding her critical sister-in-law, Quinn meets a group of women, Sharon, Ruth and Cindy, who are going through storms of their own.

When Quinn begins cleaning for mysterious loner Jack Sullivan, the walls she rebuilt begin to crack. He looks like a normal drifter on the beach, but there’s something she can’t put her finger on. As they gradually uncover each other’s secrets, Quincy must decide if she’s ready to try her luck at love again.

7. Love undercover by Mandi Blake

Zach Wilson kidnapped Lauren Vincent to get answers. Then his brother went too far. Saving Lauren is the only decent thing Zach has ever done. However, that doesn’t erase a lifetime of bad choices. 8. Chase away the clouds by Debbie Macomber

Debbie Macomber is another one of my favorite authors. I fell in love with pure romance when I read her book, This question of marriageduring adolescence. His new book, Chase away the cloudsthis looks like another good read.

Maisy Gallagher has many dreams, but when her father passes away, she puts them aside to help her family. Knowing it’s the right thing to do, she still longs for what could have been.

Chase Furst is a hardened heir to a financial empire and focuses primarily on his own life and work as a bank executive. Growing up in a traumatic childhood because his mother struggled with addiction left him cynical and emotionally distant.

When Chase meets Maisy, he comes face to face with a kind woman who can see past his defenses. Her offer to help him in his time of need surprises and annoys him at the same time. Refusing his offer of payment, she tells him to pay it forward through an act of altruism. The problem is, Chase doesn’t even know where to start.

9. Coming home to North Dakota by Jessie Gussman

These are the first Jessie Gussman books I’ve read. Since then, I have loved his writing. This set contains eight bright, heartwarming romances set in the small town of Sweet Water, North Dakota.

10. Redo the knot by Liwen Y. Ho

This book is about two friends, Piper and Peter, who get married so they can inherit their inheritance. On paper only, and eventually break up. It’s going to take a lot of work for them to find themselves.

If you’re looking for some great reads this spring, these books won’t disappoint. Grab one or two, or a few, sit in the sun with a glass of tea or a cup of coffee and escape.
